Studio - Yearbook #1

studio-yearbook_1.jpgLast year, I’ve mostly listened to old stuff, some d-i-r-t-y playlists and some Fingertracks, regularly checked Bumrocks and Robots in Heat. Then I spent all my pocket money on Ebay hunting old titles I have discovered from mentioned sites. And honestly I haven’t pay attention to music stores selling new music really. But there are two exceptions to this: first Skull Disco stuff released early last year and Studio’s Yearbook #1 album. I am no big music magazine editor to sell you these albums but I can safely suggest you to check them both titles (I assume you are coming from a balearic disco or kraut-rock party.)

thank you Dara. You suggested an ear-al dose of this album to get my soul in to this poorly wasted body. And it works, you’re wellcome.

It’s like an aural journey i felt like floatin in a clear shallow water eying the sand hills. One word: ’sunny’ comes to my mind. An experiment like Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds. No clouds, no upcoming shower of rain. Think, Beck’s Sea Change. It’s numb as you can’t even crawl. Or Dave Gilmour’s on an Island’s mood: a high and fully cloudly air as if sun never exists. This album is cheerful. And finally reminds me Faith No More’s Roddy Bottum’s Imperial Teen’s cheesy euphoria meets Porno for Pyros’ diagnosed schizoid ecstasy.
